      <description>Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Croatia as a partner to  the  organization Partnership for Social Development (http://www.psd.hr) participates in implementing of the project  &amp;quot;Anti-Corruption Response to Implementation of the Procurement Policies - ACRIP&amp;quot;. The project is funded under the IPA and is designed to provide users with implementation of the Croatian public procurement policies nad application of European principles of good governance (integrity, transparency and accountability). The project started in April 2011. year, and will last for 18 months.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

The project intends to share best experiences available in the region of SEE in debt financing and managing complex capital investment projects in order to support local governments in finding appropriate solutions for management of capital investments and to improve particular public policies.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <title>Twinning between the European cities - a bridge between young people</title>

      <description>In the early March 2011 the Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Croatia started with the implementation of international project &amp;#039;&amp;#039;Twinning between the European cities - a brige between young people&amp;#039;&amp;#039; in partnership with the National Associations of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria (***http://www.namrb.org/?lang=2*NAMRB***) and Andalusian Fund of Municipalities for International Solidarity (***http://www.andaluciasolidaria.org/*FAMSI***). The project aims to increase the level of youth participation in decision-making processes at the local level through their involvement in local councils and civil society. Duration of the project is planned to the end of 2011.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>

      <title>Inter-municipal cooperation in Croatia</title>

      <description>The project &amp;#039;Inter-municipal cooperation in Croatia&amp;#039; has been created as part of the Council of Europe&amp;#039;s activities in promotion of inter-municipal cooperation (IMC) as an innovative and efficient tools for the development of local democracy in South Eastern Europe. 

In cooperation with Croatian partners and local government representatives, the Association of Towns and the Association of Municipalities, the Council of Europe launched a series of activities aimed at raising the awareness about the advantages of IMC among local and state decision makers. The other goal of the project was to identify the situation on the ground and to draft recommendations for the improvement of IMC.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;</description>
